We have just returned home from the Mmino funded SADC Tour Part 1.  It was a great pleasure for us to do this tour.  We performed in Johannesburg, Soweto, Swaziland, Gaborone, and Harare.  A massive thanks must go to everyone who helped make this tour possible: Mmino, Marie Wilcox, Lee Thomson, Silent Revolution Productions, Lucky Bean, Elbin, Bushfire Festival, Espresso Jazz, Ollie and Botswanacraft, Thesis Social Jam, Penny, The Mannenberg and Book Cafe (in Harare), African Synergy and Pamberi Trust, and to all the fans and people who made the shows so memorable.

Kesivan has just launched his debut album with his band The Lights.  It's called Instigators Of The Revolution.

Babu's debut album Up Roots was voted 19th in the Mail & Guardian's top 20 albums of the last decade.

On June 8th 2009, Babu recorded a soundtrack to a script by Jolene Cartmill.  The music was composed and improvised to different scenes in the script.  

I was very excited to hear that *Kesivan Naidoo* was awarded the Standard Bank Young Artist of the Year 2009 for Jazz on Tuesday evening. This prestigious award recognizes and honours young artists who are making an impact in the South African music scene, but who have not yet received the deserved acclaim.
